Okay so last night I got to go see Eclipse.
Pros:
The acting is getting better, especially Kristen Stewart.
I like the new Victoria a lot better than the old Victoria and I think they are similar enough in features that I wasn't going, whoa, who is this?
Really enjoyed seeing both Jasper and Rosalie's back stories
The Vamps skin looks better.
Riley is probably the best looking vamp I've seen so far. He comes the closest in the skin department.
Cons: (most of these are for the other movies as well)
What the heck is up with their hair?
Carlisle looks like he put a banana peel on his head. Why can't they get a natural blonde color? There are all sorts of natural looking blonde colors.
Esme has dark dark brown hair now instead of the auburn color she used to have and it's all sorts of crazy looking every time we see her.
Poor, poor, Jasper... it's like they scalped a Chucky doll or a mangy orange cat and put it on your head. Seriously, Jasper is supposed to be blonde... he is blonde in Twilight... how come he has red nasty hair in eclipse?
um why did Edward have curly bangs? It was wrong on so many levels that his hair curled under on his forehead... just wrong.
How about Alice's hair? It's nasty.
What about their eyes? Their eyes look fake. I think when she describes their eyes she often mentions golden or amber. I always imagined something more like this
Now let's talk eyebrows... whose in charge here... really... is it Summit entertainment, or is it the eyebrows...
Edward's eyebrows overpower his face (I think real life Rob looks nice but with the vamp makeup it's too much, way too much).
Rosalie is supposed to be a natural platinum blonde... how come she has black eyebrows? Seriously it looks tacky. You can bleach your eyebrows. It's easy, I've done it before. Then maybe a light, light, brown eyebrow pencil and you are good to go. I can't believe this hasn't been addressed. Nikki Reed looks so different with brown hair and blonde hair. She is gorgeous (I prefer her with brown hair) however I think she would look more like Rosalie if she had blonde eyebrows. The black is distracting.
Dakota Fannings eyebrows are practically non-existent and have no shape to them at all. Plus her eye makeup looks awful.
Are the producers forgetting that vampires, even the bad ones are supposed to be gorgeous?
How about things that were different from the movie...
Edward's car
Edward's bedroom
the bedding
the shirt they took from Bella
these are simple things that didn't need to be changed. I don't understand why the producers couldn't be more true to the book. It's like re-inventing the wheel. There was no need to change those things, they worked.
How about the fact that Bella never actually cuts herself in the book? How about the fact that Jacob and Edward never argue about Bella hearing the story of the third wife?
How come Bree Tanner wasn't tied up? That was a major flaw when you consider Bella cut herself. A newborn who isn't being restrained by anyone is able to withstand the blood of the person she's been trained to sniff out? If even Jasper had a hard time when Bella was cut in New Moon how would a newborn be able to with stand that?
It's just little things like this that annoy me. You could take a good movie and make it great if you actually lived by the natural laws that are set forth in the book.
It's not like they don't have the budget to make this a good film. I really hope they correct some of these things for Breaking Dawn. Plus they keep making Kristen Stewart look prettier and prettier... how are they going to vamp her up?
It's just frustrating to see really little and even inexpensive things that could be fixed. Like colors of hair (just get a different color wig), the bedding, the eyebrows... It would be the same cost as what they already spent. It just blows my mind that those things are overlooked.
Anyway I still feel that it is the best of all the Twilight movies so far. If you liked Twilight and New Moon, you are almost guaranteed to like Eclipse.

well i haven't seen the movie yet. I started to read the books. I'm not sure why i haven't finished reading them.I thought the first 2 movies were pretty good.
